Jewish prayer has a very high bar of entry. It’s in a foreign tongue, written in language used 2000 years ago, with metaphors that often are unrelatable or unapproachable. In this class, we will learn from the Talmudic sources where our prayer services actually took form. We will talk about the themes of the prayers, and we will attempt to make prayer into a language that is meaningful and useful to us. Meet after Shabbat morning services for lunch and learning. Please sign up for each individual session you are able to attend.
